As part of its outreach mission with the Champions of Character program, the NAIA conducts training and motivational presentations to schools, youth organizations, coaches' groups and business and community groups.

NAIA presenters Bruce Brown and Rob Miller teach participants about the importance of ethical behavior and character development not just in sport, but in every aspect of life. Trained instructors at Program Centers throughout the U.S. and Canada also share how the five core values of Champions of Character lead to winning in the game of life.

Bruce Brown is a 35-year veteran of coaching at all levels - from elementary school through college teams. As an author of dozens of books and resources on coaching and character through his Proactive Coaching series, Bruce Brown is considered the premier national authority on character development through sport. As an NAIA special presenter, he shares compelling and inspirational messages about character on and off the playing field. Brown has received dozens of national awards and accolades, most recently in conjunction with Cal Ripken, Jr. and the American Baseball Coaches Awards and the Coach Krzyzewski Leadership and Service Award.

Rob Miller, NAIA Director of Champions of Character Initiatives, leads the NAIA's pioneering effort to change the culture of sport through character. He delivers presentations to NAIA and community youth groups about the Champions of Character program, and steers the development of the program for the NAIA. He also oversees the NAIA Alumni Association and serves as regional director for six of the 14 NAIA regions. Prior to joining the NAIA, Rob Miller has been a collegiate and youth-level coach, Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference commissioner, development director and executive director of the National Christian College Athletic Association.
