NAIA Region III Golf Championships Complete

  (Sioux Falls, South Dakota - April 29, 2008) -  The NAIA Region III Golf Championships are in the books in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the Elmwood Golf Course.

On the women's side, Dakota Wesleyan won the team championship with a 659. Sioux Falls was second with a 694. Amber Raisanen from Dakota Wesleyan won the medalist race with a 159 (81-78).

In the men's competition, Midland Lutheran came back on day two to win the team title with a 618.  The Warriors won their third straight regional title and edged second place Dakota Wesleyan by one stroke (619).  Luke Vermeer from Northwestern was the medalist with a 148 (70-78).

 

The NAIA Region III Champions and Medalists will advance to the NAIA National Golf Championships. The NAIA Men's Golf Championships are May 13-16 in Plymouth, Indiana, while the NAIA Women's Golf Championships are May 20-23 in San Diego California.
