WICHITA, KS -- - The Friends University softball "Lady Falcons" are champions of the NAIA Region IV post-season tournament held in Wichita, KS, after the regional tournament was moved there from McPherson, Kansas, because of rain.

Friends (of Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference) defeated Park University (of Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference), 1-0, in the tourney championship game, to take the regional title.

Friends advances to the NAIA 28th annual National Softball Championships tournament to be held May 16-21, at Wilson Morgan Softball Complex in Decatur, Alabama.
