NAIA Region V Baseball Team Announced
ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The baseball coaches of NAIA Region V met Tuesday, May 8 at Lindenwood University to select the annual all-Region squad. The group also selected the first Rawlings Gold Glove team with awards given to a player at each position including pitcher.
The Region V player, pitcher and coach of the year were also named.
Here is the squad by position:
Catcher: Terry Goddard - Avila University
BJ Underkofler - William Woods University
First Base: Tyson Mulvaney - Hannibal-LeGrange
Second Base: Angel Samuel - Missouri Baptist University
Shortstop: Daniel Hartman - Harris-Stowe State College
Third Base: Zach Kohan - William Jewell College
Extra Infielder: Jose Lozada - Benedictine College
Designated Hitter: Doug Antilla - MidAmerica Nazarene University
Outfield: Willie Keene - Avila University
Dave Powell - Benedictine College
Brandon Patek - Missouri Baptist University
Cody Zippmann - William Woods University
Starting Pitcher: Mark Brackman - William Jewell College
Garett Williamson - Benedictine College
Matt Murray - Missouri Baptist University
Eric Hullinger - Lindenwood University
Relief/Utility Pitcher: JT Heaton - Missouri Valley College

The player, pitcher and coach of the year awards were voted on by the coached based off the respective winners from the AMC and HAAC.

Mark Brackman, William Jewell College - Region V Pitcher of the Year
Mike Stockton, William Jewell College - Region V Coach of the Year
Lindenwood University won the tournament championship and earned a hosting berth into the Super Regional round of play later this week.
