Tom Osborne is a legend in the state of Nebraska. A United States Congressman for the 3rd Congressional District, Osborne has remained in touch with his roots.
Osborne was named the State Athlete of the Year during his senior year at Hastings. A three-sport athlete, he excelled at football and played professionally for the Washington Redskins and the San Francisco 49ers.
Upon retiring from professional sports, Osborne returned home to become the head coach of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. His teams won three NCAA national championships as he compiled an impressive 255-49-3 record. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999.
Elected to his current office in 2000, Osborne is in his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
