While pursuing a double major at Dakota State University (S.D.), Grann also served as the Student Association President.  With a nose for marketing, he started work at Daktronics in the Sports Project Engineering department prior to graduation and advanced through the company rapidly.

Now the Sport Software Sales and Marketing manager, Grann is focused on the sales and marketing of Daktronics Sports Software.  In addition to DakStats, he is also responsible for creating software and services used to provide display content at all levels of play, including professional teams, collegiate markets and at the high school level.  NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL,

In January of 2004, Daktronics launched the first version of its Web-Sync service to assist the NAIA in collecting association statistics. Since then, Daktronics has tracked game-by-game stats for more 28,000 NAIA football, basketball softball and baseball players and has created a unique vechile for national exposure for NAIA sports.
