The 2008 Presidents Forum is an interactive roundtable session covering timely topics of interest to NAIA presidents. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with your peers. Each topic will be briefly introduced to the large group, followed by in-depth discussion at each 8-10 person table.
Emerging Sports in the NAIA/Cheerleading: Sport or Entertainment?
Are you thinking about adding a varsity sport? This session will provide an update related to trends within the NAIA, including the first sport that has qualified as an “Emerging Sport” in the NAIA: Competitive Cheerleading and Dance.
Professionalization of Conference Leadership and Management
NAIA Affiliated conferences are focal points of the NAIA Strategic Plan. During this session, you will hear from your colleagues about the role of presidents in NAIA conferences, including a report from the NAIA Task Force on Presidential Leadership and Conference Standards.
NCAA Division III Restructuring and Its Potential Impact on the NAIA
Members of the NAIA Council of Presidents subcommittee related to NCAA restructuring will provide an update on the most recent discussions with the NCAA. We invite you to share your views on this topic as we continue to analyze the various issues.
