    Becki Almeida

    Manager of Championship Sports

    Becki started with a double dose of experience straight out of school by simultaneously serving as the NAIA’s Championships Intern and the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Baker University. She continued to coach until June of 2006 and rejoined the NAIA staff in March 2007 as a Championship Event Administrator.

    As the manager for four sports, Becki plans and facilitates four national championships and their corresponding events. She is the liaison between the association and the coaches of those sports and is responsible for updating the Coach’s Manuals and Policy Handbooks. Becki also plays a major role in the association’s Hall of Fame Committee, the Larry Lady Award Committee, and organizes the National Convention Awards Banquet.

    Becki graduated Cum Laude from Baker University in May of 2004 with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in business.  While at Baker, Becki earned many accolades as a student-athlete. She was a 2-year Captain, 4-year starter, 4-year letter winner, Heart of America Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete, NAIA Region V Scholar Athlete, and NAIA Academic All American as a member of the Women’s Soccer team.  Becki also competed in Track and Field for 1-year, earning a letter and served as a NAIA  Champions of Character Ambassador. As an undergraduate, Becki interned for the Kansas City Comets. She assisted in game day preparation, pre-game and halftime shows, special promotion set-up and front office duties.

    Born and raised in the Ottawa/Pomona, Kansas area, Becki moved to Overland Park following her graduation.Becki stays active in the community by coaching youth soccer camps, acting as sponsor co-chair for a local 5k run benefiting children’s cancer charities and continues to participate in adult soccer, volleyball and softball leagues. She is also a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). She and her husband John currently live in Olathe, KS.
