As the NAIA’s Director of Sports Information and Media Services, Chad oversees all media relations efforts for all 23 championships including the production of season media guides and Championship press books. He also facilitates the distribution of press releases and official announcements, contributes to the NAIA website, and disseminates news and information to member schools.
Chad comes to the NAIA from Northwest Missouri State University where he served as the Director of Athletic Media Relations since august of 2004. During his time at NWMSU Chad covered the nationally recognized Bearcat football team with 2 appearances in Division II title game and 3 appearances at Arrowhead Stadium. From June of 2002 until his move to NWMSU, Chad was the Assistant Sports Information Director at Bemidji State (Minn.) University. He held SID duties for Division I Women’s Ice Hockey, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Soccer, and Cross Country. While there, Bemidji State’s Women’s Basketball media guide won 1st place in the district wide competition.
Chad got his start as the Graduate Assistant Sports Information Director at Minnesota State University, Mankato. During his time there, Chad earned his Master of Art in Sports Administration and was responsible for the sports information of Division I Women’s Ice Hockey, Women’s Basketball, Soccer, Tennis and Track.
A four year member of the football team and three year baseball player, Chad earned his undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Lawrence University (Wis.). Among other honors, Chad was an All--Conference defensive back for 2 years and an All-Conference pitcher for 2 seasons including All-Region as a senior.
An active member of CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) since 2000 and a 1 year committee member of CoSIDA Publications Committee, Chad currently lives in Kansas City, MO.
