Member Institutions
Nearly 300 member institutions make up the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). These colleges and universities can be found throughout the U.S. and Canada and are divided into 25 conferences.
When member intitutions commit to the rules and regulations of the NAIA, student athletes gain a variety of opportunities for season and championship play.
Member institutions take the commitment beyond athletics with our Champions of Character program. This program is designed to promote character development in youth and change the culture of sport. Member institutions can use this innovative program to build relationships with their communities by providing programming and character training to families, youth organizations and businesses.

NAIA member institutions view athletics as part of the overall educational process with the emphasis on "student" in the term student-athlete.
