INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING UPGRADE

1. Save the download file to the same directory as your ECP software is currently installed.  You may need to request assistance from your I.T department.
   
   
2. Browse to the location you saved the upgrade file to and run this file.  Extract all files to this same directory (If you're running your ECP software on your network, be sure to extract the files to the network location that it's currently installed).  Overwrite your existing files with the new ones.
   
   
3. After you've extracted the new files, you will need to update your database.  To do this you need to run the file ECP_DBUPGRADE.exe.  A backup of your old data will be made automatically in the event there are any problems with the upgrade process. You should see a message indicating the database was upgraded successfully.  If you get any errors in this process, please email ecp@naia.org or call 913.595.8000.
   
   
4. Congratulations.  You are now ready to use the newest version of the ECP software.

IMPROVEMENTS AND ENHANCEMENTS WITH v3.1.24
Here is a list of some of the bug fixes and enhancements you'll get with this latest upgrade.

• New SAT functionality.  Incorporates the writing component although it doesn't use it for eligibility purposes.  Per NAIA rules we are not currently using the writing component scores to determine eligibility.
  
  
• Conversion Calculator - Assists in the conversion of terms.
  
  
• Export Feature - This allows you to export the current term data into a text file for use outside the ECP software, such as MS Excel.
  
  
• Reports - Many fixes and enhancements have been incorporated into the reports. Certificate of Clearance now allows you to hide Student ID data and also allows you to include only eligible students if you so desire.  Eligibility Certificate no longer rounds the student's GPA.
  
  
• Database Stability - The database has been upgraded to handle student records much more efficiently.  There were a lot of improvements made to this version that will help keep your data clean.
