Governance
The Governance structure of the NAIA allows each of our member institutions to play an integral part in making the NAIA a successful organization. All of these elements work in cooperation to pursue the goals of our organization.
Councils
Broad policy for the NAIA is developed through governing councils comprising campus administrators and faculty members representing the affiliated conferences and independent institutions. The National Coordinating Committee provides broad policy oversight and serves as an appellate body to the National Eligibility and Conduct & Ethics Committees.

Committees
NAIA standing committees carry out policies established through the council governance structure on a wide range of topics concerning honors and awards, legislative issues and competitive equity.
