OLATHE, Kan. - Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) held on to all 20 of its previously gained first-place votes to hang on to the No. 1 position in this week's NAIA Baseball Top 25, holding off Azusa Pacific (Calif.), who checked in at No. 2 with three first-place votes and 549 points.
The poll's top five remained unchanged, as Oklahoma City remained No. 3, followed by Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) and Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.). St. Thomas (Fla.) moved up one to No. 6, trading spots with No. 7 Lee (Tenn.) who fell one spot this week. Texas Wesleyan and Tennessee Wesleyan remained in place at No. 8 and No. 9, while Spring Arbor (Mich.) made a five-spot leap into the Top 10 at No. 10.
Four fresh faces joined the Top 25 this week, including No. 20 Cumberland (Tenn.), No. 22 Bethany (Kan.), No. 23 Southern Poly (Ga.) and No. 24 William Jewell (Mo.). Belhaven (Miss.) made the largest jump in the rating, moving from No. 25 last week to its current spot at No. 19.
