KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Bryan Joseph of Edward Waters (Fla.) College has been selected as the NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week while Julian Alvarez of Bacone (Okla.) College was awarded the NAIA Baseball Player of the Week for April 6-13.

 

Joseph, a 6 ft. sophomore from Jacksonville, Fla. set two records at Edward Waters this past week. Joseph pitched the school's first no-hitter and struck out 13 setting the single game record. The Warriors ace threw his landmark game against Morris College, leading his team to a 15-0 victory.

 

Alvarez, a junior from Boston, Mass. Powered the Bacone (Okla.) at the plate to a 3-0 week. The Warrior outfielder went 8 for 10 at the dish with five home runs and three doubles. Alvarez also tallied 10 RBI's during his teams three game sweep of conference foe College of the Southwest

 

The next Players of the Week will be announced on April 30.
