KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 2008 NAIA Baseball Super Regionals will get underway on Wednesday, May 14 with games wrapping up on Saturday, May 17. Fourteen teams are left with the Region champions facing off against each other.
Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) heads the field of participants with the No. 1 seed. The Warriors, who are No. 2 in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll (May 7), have won the last two national titles and 15 overall. LCSC faces off against No. 3 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) in Lewiston, Idaho from May 14-15 & 17.
All games are played in a best 2-out-of-3 series format, with the winner advancing to the 52nd annual AVISTA-NAIA World Series played from May 23-30 in Lewiston, Idaho. Two at-large bids will be awarded to the highest-seeded remaining teams that do not win their Super Regional. A third at-large will be awarded if host Lewis Clark State wins the West Coast Super Regional. In all, 10 teams will compete for the World Series trophy.

WEST COAST SUPER REGIONAL
#3 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University (45-8) vs. #1 Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) College (51-5), May 14-15 & 17
Notes: Azusa Pacific is making second straight Super Regional appearance... LCSC is playing in second consecutive, defeated APU last year in three games and scored 34 runs overall... LSCS is making a warm-up run by hosting this three-game series - the Warriors will host the 52nd Annual AVISTA-NAIA World Series from May 23-30 and the event marks the ninth straight time and 17th overall they have hosted... #6 Bellevue (Neb.) University (50-13) vs. #13 Jamestown (N.D.) College (30-17), May 14-15
Notes: Hosted by Jamestown... Bellevue has won eight of the last nine Region IV Championships... Jamestown is advancing to its third Super Regional in the last five years, first since 2006... The last time these two faced off was 2006 when Bellevue won in three games and scored 26 combined runs... Bellevue is looking for its 12th World Series appearance and third straight... Jamestown tries for its second overall World Series and first since 2004.
MID-SOUTH SUPER REGIONAL
#10 Missouri Baptist University (40-14-1) vs. #4 Oklahoma City University (53-10), May 15-17
Notes: Hosted by Oklahoma City... OCU knocked off No. 1 Lubbock Christian twice in the Region VI Championships... OCU is appearing in first Super Regional since 2005, the year it won the National Championship... Missouri Baptist is the sixth different team from Region V to appear in Super Regionals... MBU is searching for first World Series appearances... OK City is looking for 10th World Series and first since 2005.
HEARTLAND SUPER REGIONAL
#8 Spring Arbor (Mich.) University (35-7) vs. #12 St. Xavier (Ill.) University (37-18), May 14-16
