OKLAHOMA CITY
- Oklahoma City University clinched the NAIA Mid-South Super Regional crown with a come-from-behind 10-7 victory over Missouri Baptist on Friday (May 16) at Jim Wade Stadium.

The fifth-ranked Stars (55-10) enter the NAIA World Series as super regional champion. The World Series will be May 23-30 in Lewiston, Idaho. No. 24 Missouri Baptist ends its season 40-16-1.

The Stars rallied with nine unanswered runs. Missouri Baptist led 5-1 through five innings after getting Brandon Patek's RBI single and Scott Talbert's RBI groundout. Talbert scored on an error to put Missouri Baptist up by four runs.

OCU chipped into its deficit with three runs in the sixth. David Dennis lined a two-run double down the left-field line, and Dennis scored on an error by the shortstop.

The Stars exploded for five runs in the eighth. Down 5-4, OCU went ahead on Landon Camp's two-run double to right field. OCU added runs on B.J. Wheeler's bunt hit and Kirk Walker getting hit by pitch with the bases loaded.

Wheeler made it 10-5 in the ninth with an RBI single.

In the bottom of the ninth, Missouri Baptist's Lucas Hulsey nailed a two-run home run. Brad Riddle entered in the ninth with a runner on second base and got three flyouts to earn his fourth save.

Garrett Parker earned the victory to move to 2-2. Parker relieved starter Tyler Kelsey in the fifth and worked 3.1 innings, striking out three.

Dennis went 3-for-5 with two RBIs, while Camp was 3-for-4 with three runs driven in. Wheeler finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs.

The NAIA will announce the official bracket and seedings on Sunday, May 18.
