LA GRANDE, Ore. -- It's not easy beating a team three times in one season.
That's what Warner Pacific (Ore.) did to the Eastern Oregon men last season, but now EOU is on pace to return the favor. The No. 13 EOU Mountaineers won the second of their two regular season meetings Friday night (Jan. 25), 102-91 over No. 21 Warner Pacific.
Warner Pacific has scored over 100 points seven times this season, winning all of them. In the three games where the team has given up 100 or more points they have lost all three including tonight's loss.
The game featured Eastern, who is tied for first in the conference and Warner Pacific, who is in third-place in the current standings.
Eastern Oregon's Dan Blanchard came off the bench to have a team-high, 26 points, and made six of seven from behind the arc. Paul Carollo added 19 points, while Mark Carollo and Neil Fryer each had 19 and 14 respectively.
The Knights were led by Scott O'Gallagher's game-high 28 points. Josh Jackson added 17 points, while Jalonta Martin had 12 points and Shane Stewart also had 14 points for Warner Pacific.
Both teams currently sit in the top half of the standings and may meet again in the conference tournament in late February.
