KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced all-tournament tickets for the 2008 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship are on sale now through the Municipal Auditorium Box Office or Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com, by calling 816-931-3330 or in person at any Ticketmaster outlet throughout the Kansas City area. An all-tournament ticket may be purchased for $75 (reserved) or $50 (general admission) good for nine sessions, 31 games.
Single session tickets go on sale February 1, 2008, and are $5 for youth/student and $12 for adults (add $3 per ticket for reserved seating). Group ticket packages (ten or more tickets) and flex-packages (18 general admission tickets good for any session) may be purchased by calling Dan Boyd at the NAIA at 816-595-8131. The NAIA is offering the popular family pack which includes four tickets, four drinks and four snacks for only $35. The family pack may be purchased through the Municipal Auditorium Box Office along with the business person special for $15 which includes a ticket and meal. The NAIA was created around a men's college basketball tournament in Kansas City dating back to 1937 and is the oldest national collegiate tournament in any sport. The game, the experience and the history continues March 19-25, 2008. The championship event attracts 32 teams from across the country, over 600 coaches and student-athletes and approximately 40,000 fans.
The NAIA strives to create an affordable and fun experience for the whole family. In six days the NAIA will incorporate 31 games, Fan Fest, DST Systems Youth Day, Champions of Character events, Chamber Night, U.S. Bank Championship Night and much more.
