Mobile, Ala. - On Wednesday, January 10, Spring Hill College senior forward Noah Woolridge scored 20 points versus Tougaloo College (Miss.) and became the 29th member of the Badgers 1,000 Point Club. With a total of 1,020 points in his career on The Hill, the Slidell, La., native is currently one of the most accurate long-range shooters in the NAIA making more than 47% of his 3-point attempts and averaging 19 points per contest.
"Noah is definitely one of the hardest working athletes I have been around during my entire coaching career," says Spring Hill's head coach Robert Thompson. "He is more than deserving to reach this milestone."
Thompson often tells fans a story about finding Woolridge reading in Spring Hill's Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center one afternoon this past summer. "I'd usually find him lifting weights in the morning and working on his agility after lunch, so it wasn't unusual to see him around the gym. One afternoon I was headed to my office when I saw him reading a textbook and taking notes. I said, `Noah, I didn't think you were taking a class this term,' and he looked up and said, `Coach, I'm just getting a jump on my fall classes so I can have more time for basketball this season.' That's the kind of dedication Noah has shown this team his entire career."
The 6'6" biology major is well on his way to scoring more than 1,200 points in his career.
