KANSAS CITY, Mo. -Mountain State University (W.V.) continues its lengthy stay on top of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Basketball Division I Top 25 Coaches' Poll, announced today (Jan. 23). In the fifth regular season edition, the Cougars are No. 1 for the fifth straight time as they earned nine of 11 first-place votes. MSU is one of four teams with a perfect record on the season.

No. 2 Georgetown (Ky.) holds the most wins in the Division with a 19-0 log. Concordia (Calif.) and LSU-Shreveport are tied at No. 3 while Lee (Tenn.) remains at No. 5. The Pilots of LSU-Shreveport have posted two first-place nods in the last three polls.

Putting its unblemished record on the line, Georgetown hosts No. 9 Campbellsville (Ky.) on Saturday. In a showdown in the Golden State Athletic Conference, Concordia is at No. 14 California Baptist next Tuesday.

Three teams enter the Top 25 for the first time this season, No. 21 Columbia (Mo.) and Cumberland (Tenn.) and Texas Wesleyan tied at No. 23.

The sixth regular season poll will be released on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
