OLATHE, Kan. - Concordia (Calif.) guard Joe Roberson has been named NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week after helping Concordia to a pair of double-overtime wins over nationally ranked San Diego Christian and Azusa Pacific last week with averages of 20.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
Roberson pulled down a career-best 17 rebounds to go with 23 points against Azusa Pacific, which followed a 17-point, seven-rebound outing against San Diego Christian. In the win over APU, Roberson had five of his six assists on the week and also grabbed two steals.
Roberson finished the week with four steals and hit 11-of-20 from the floor, including a conversion on his only 3-point attempt of the week. Roberson finished 17-of-26 from the free-throw line.
