2006 NAIA Football Ratings
OLATHE, Kan. - Sioux Falls (S.D.) took all 15 first-place votes to claim the top spot in the final 2006 NAIA Football Top 25 after beating Saint Francis (Ind.) 23-19 Dec. 16 in Hardin County, Tenn., for the NAIA Football Championship.
Saint Francis is second after its runner-up finish in the title game, while the top five rounds out with NAIA Semifinalists Missouri Valley and Saint Xavier (Ill.), as well as Quarterfinalist Carroll (Mont.) at No. 5. Northwestern (Iowa) begins the bottom half of the Top 10 at No. 6, followed in order by Bethel (Tenn.), Morningside (Iowa), St. Ambrose (Iowa) and Georgetown (Ky.), all of which were playoff participants.
The poll is conducted by the NAIA Headquarters and is comprised of coaches representing all 10 NAIA football conferences and its Independent football playing institutions.
