OLATHE, Kan. - Carroll College (Mont.) and University of St. Francis (Ind.) will once again challenge fate in a small town called Savannah, Tennessee for the national championship on December 17. Carroll will go for an unprecedented fourth consecutive NAIA Football National Championship, after winning last year's battle between the two.

Senior quarterback Tyler Emmert led the Saints to 547 total yards (367 passing and 180 rushing) and threw for five touchdowns, in direct contrast to the University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) 128 total yards. Carroll dominated the Cougars offense as Sioux Falls was limited to just 94 yards in the air and 34 on the ground.
Emmert will travel to New York to attend the National Football Foundation Awards Dinner on December 6 for the awarding of the 2005 Draddy Trophy and the honoring of the candidates for the NFF 2005 National Scholar-Athlete Awards.
St. Francis will look to avenge its title loss last season as the Cougars from Fort Wayne, Ind. grabbed a 42-14 victory against Morningside College (Iowa). The game pitted the NAIA's top-ranked defense against the top-ranked offense, with the defense coming out on top. The Mustangs were scoreless through three quarters of play before finally finding the endzone in the fourth. Morningside, ranked third in the nation, completed its greatest season in school history with a 12-1 mark
The NAIA National Championship game will be played December 17 and will be televised live on CSTV. Kick off is set for 12:05 p.m. (Central) from Jim Carroll Stadium.
