OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian University head golf coach David Lynn has been selected to coach the United States golf team at the 2008 World University Games in Sun City, South Africa.

Lynn will lead a team of three NAIA players and three NJCAA players in the event, scheduled for Sept. 2-5. Lynn is responsible for choosing the three NAIA participants.

"I am extremely honored that my fellow NAIA coaches selected me for this honor," Lynn said. "I consider representing the NAIA and the United States to be the highest honor a coach can have. I look forward to competing for the gold at the World University Games."

Lynn selected Drew Chuipek of St. Ambrose University (Ia.) and Jarod Trammell of Berry College (Ga.) to represent the NAIA. A third player will be named soon.

"Both Drew and Jared represent their schools, coaches, and families very well. I know they will perform at a high level and represent the NAIA and the United States in an outstanding manor," Lynn said.

The World University Games feature teams comprised of college athletes from countries all around the world. The event is held every other year.

The Sun City Resort and Gary Player Golf Course will host the tournament. The site is also the host of the famous Sun City Million Dollar Invitational.
