Region XIV
1. Johnson & Wales University (Fla.) - Start 2 Finish @ Lake Wales CC, 1st, 289 275 285. Absolutely rifled the field. Have made a statement of their depth and ability. Not to be taken lightly. Big win on the Regional Championship site. Valois, Venegas, Macquire, Eastonn and Scott. Two are freshman, and they have 5 other players as strong.; Thomas U @ Kinderlou Forest, 1st, 296 289. Showed their depth and competitiveness to pull away from the field by 10. Made a lot of mistakes during play. Not even close to their capabilities yet.
2. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Fla.) - Titan Invitational @ Suntree Golf Club, 8th, 306 302 314. Hooters Tour Site. Unreal cold and wind. Coach wore 7 layers of clothes, personal record. If it had sleeted, would have thot we were in North Ga. Tough course, tough field, and tough conditions. Ok first start. Got drummed by Webber, Webber took the #2 spot back in Region.; Thomas U Invitational @ Kinderlou Forest, 3rd, 296 301. Tough Nationwide Tour site. Was tied for lead with JW, and SCAD. Played steady last day, to coast into 3rd above all other Region 14 competition. Now in next golfstat you will see 2-1 ahead of SCAD, Webber and Thomas. ERAU took #2 spot back from Webber.
3. Webber International University (Fla.) - Warner Invite @ Lake Wales, 1st, 308. Cold, cold, cold. Good warm up.; Titan Invitational @ Sun Tree, 7th, 302 299 303. Solid play against the best JuCo teams in Nation. Really competitive. 303 last day is more like 293. 301 was low. They were very impressive. ; Start 2 Finish @ Lake Wales, 2nd, 300 298 294. Very sound playing on a tricky Donald Ross course. Only 2nd to JW. ; Thomas U Invite @ Kinderlou Forest, 6th, 303 306. Disappointing placement. If any of their 3 individuals were in the line up, they would have vied for 2nd or 3rd. A deep good team that stumbled on the road.
3. Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) - Start 2 Finish @ Lake Wales CC, 3rd, 291 292 310. Great first two days. Stumbled the last day to fall behind Webber by 1.; Thomas U Invite @ Kinderlou Forest, 4th, 296 305. Rallied with good play. Tough last day. Still pulled ahead of Webber and Thomas. Currently 2-2 vs Webber, Thomas and is the only team to have an OFFICIAL win vs JW.
5. Thomas University (Ga.) - Thomas U Invite @ Kinderlou Forest, 5th, 299 309. First event of year. A big one on a tough track to start. Beat by JW, ERAU and SCAD, but clipped Webber by 1 shot. They are 2-2 with SCAD, 1-2 vs Webber and ERAU.
6. Northwood University (Fla.)
