OLATHE, Kan. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the tournament field for the 2006 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships, hosted by the Olathe Chamber of Commerce. The 55th annual event will be played at Prairie Highlands Golf Course May 16-19. The 144-player field will contend for the individual national championship, while the 28 teams will battle for the team title.
Johnson & Wales University (Fla.) will return to Olathe to defend their national title. The Wildcats finished the 2005 national championship at 19-under par while James Renner, also from Johnson and Wales, will look to be just the fourth player to capture back-to-back medalist honors.
