KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 2008 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Golf National Championships will be held May 13-16 at Indiana National Golf Club in Plymouth, Ind. The 57th Annual Championship will be hosted by Bethel College (Ind.).
Indiana National Golf Club, home of the United States Golf Academy, is Indiana's premier golf club and boasts a 36-hole facility, with both an East and West Course playing at 6,950 yards, par 72. The courses feature treelined fairways, bent grass greens and numerous water hazards.
In 2007 top-ranked Oklahoma City University turned in a stunning nine-under par final round (279) to capture its sixth title in the last seven years. The Stars' Daniel Mitchell was the tournament medalist, firing a six under (282).
This year's championship will feature 28 teams, include 13 region champions, 14 at-large bids and one host berth, and four individual qualifiers.
