Jade Dennill of Victoria (B.C.) won the long drive competition held during Monday's practice round at the 56th Annual Men's Golf National Championships
at Indiana National Golf Club in Plymouth, Indiana.
Dennill launched a 342 drive on the narrow 4th hole at Indiana National to take home the win with room to spare. Brent Kirstein of Wayland Baptist (Texas) was the runner up with a 324 yard drive. Jason DeJiacomo of Berry (Ga.) and Richie Schroyer of Embry-Riddle (Fla.) tied for third with shots of 319 yards while Daniel Mitchell of Oklahoma City rounded out the top five with a 314 yard drive.
The Championship proper will get underway tomorrow with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m.
