Sterling plans to use Cottonwood Hills Golf Club a Nick Faldo Championship design as its primary course. Sterling is currently in negotiations with other local golf courses in the Hutchinson and Sterling area.

"I am very excited about the golf program that we are starting here at Sterling College" said Head Coach Sean Gillespie "I believe the time is right for this. With all the positive changes and new programs coming about here at SC. I believe that golf will enhance and help make Sterling athletics a well rounded program. There is a real sense of excitement and anticipation amongst not only the administration but the students as well. "

Sterling will become the seventh men's team to have golf in the KCAC and the third women's team to sponsor the sport.
