KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Soccer national weekly awards were announced for the week of Oct. 15-21 and Jake Kittrell of Culver-Stockton (Mo.) was selected as the NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week while Steven Lenhart of Azusa Pacific (Calif.) was named the NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week.

Kittrell, a 6-1 senior goalkeeper from St. Louis, Mo., was a stopper in the net against then-No. 3 Graceland (Iowa) last week. Kittrell deflected six shots on goal as Culver-Stockton upset the defending national champions, 1-0 and handed the Yellowjackets their first loss of 2007. In the second win of the week, Kittrell posted four saves in all 90 minutes in a 3-1 victory against Avila (Mo.). In two matches, he totaled 10 saves in 180 minutes.

Lenhart, a 6-1 senior forward from Yorba Linda, Calif., was the team's offense in the 4-0 win against previously-undefeated and No. 1 Concordia (Calif.). He scored all four markers off six shots on goal. It was his second four-goal effort of the season and now stands with 14 goals.
