(box score)
OLATHE, Kan. - In its first appearance in the NAIA National Championship tournament, No. 4 Ohio Dominican got on the scoreboard early and knocked off No. 13 Maine-Fort Kent, 7-0.  ODU (19-2-0) will advance to the elite eight while the Bengals dropped their first game of the year and will end the season with a 21-1-0 record.

Junior forward Scott Shrewsbury found the back of the net from 20 yards out 37 seconds into the game to give the Panthers a 1-0 advantage.  Eddie Hertsenberg (19:50), Joey Held (25:51) and David Bauer (33.56) all added goals in the first half for ODU.  Held's second goal of the game in the 39th minute gave the Panthers a 5-0 halftime lead.

ODU added two more in the second half when Zach Roberts scored in the 67th minute and Devin Cowan found the net at 78:19.

The Panthers' seven goals are the most by a team in the national championship tournament game since 2002 when Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) defeated Martin Luther (Minn.), 9-0.

Ohio Dominican will advance to the quarterfinals and will face the winner of No. 5 Simon Fraser (B.C.) and No. 12 Park (Mo.) on Friday, Nov. 17 at noon.

(box score)
OLATHE, Kan. - No. 19 Embry-Riddle extended its current winning streak to eight games thanks to a 1-0 second-round win over No. 3 Mobile (Ala.) this afternoon at the NAIA National Championship. Junior forward Joe Yoffe came up with his 10th goal of the year, on a penalty kick in the 61st minute, to send the Eagles to the Quarterfinal round on Nov. 17.

Junior midfielder AJ Barrett extended the ERU lead to 2-0 in the 87th minute with an assist credited to Sam Litchfield.

Defense was a theme throughout as there were a combined seven shots on goal. Netminder Ian Levine notched the shutout for Embry-Riddle halting three shots on goal.

Embry-Riddle will now face the winner of No. 6 Concordia (Calif.) and No. 11 Graceland (Iowa) at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Mobile, who gets shut-out for just the second time all year, concludes its season at 14-5-1.

Game #7: No. 2 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) 5, No. 18 Mid-Continent (Ky.) 1
(box score)
OLATHE, Kan. - No. 2 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) strung together five unanswered goals to take down No. 18
Mid-Continent (Ky.) today in the second round of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship. LWC
avenges a 1-0 loss against Mid-Continent in the Region XI Tournament back on Nov. 6.

Mid-Continent, winner of the Region XI Championship, lit up the scoreboard first thanks to a Freddy Okello netter in the 10th minute. He took a pass from Freddy Timms and found the back of the net. Jakob Rittig led the counter offense for Lindsey Wilson scoring in the 19th minute. His second goal at 27:01 preceded a marker by Carnell Leamond (65:17). Nathaniel Jatta closed out the scoring posing back-to-back goals in the 81st and 83rd minutes. He now stands with 22 goals on the year.

Glen Fox posted the win totaling three saves in the net.

Lindsey Wilson will wait on the winner of the No. 7 Southern Nazarene (Okla.) and No. 10 Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.) contest. Mid-Continent wraps up its season at 14-8-2.

Game #8: No. 1 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) 3, No. 17 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) 1
(box score)
OLATHE, Kan. - No. 1 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) staved off a would-be comeback from host school No. 17 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), 3-1 tonight in the second round of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship. Behind a crowd of 520, MNU rallied late with a goal by Jose Sibrian, his second of the year.

However, the tandem of Sven Simon and Brandon Stirm was too much for the Pioneers. Simon hit the net twice with his first giving APU a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute. His third one, in the 55th minute, gave Azusa Pacific a 3-0 edge and put the game seemingly out of reach. Stirm, who assisted on Simon's first goal, notched his eighth goal of the year in the 48th minute to hand the Cougars a 2-0 lead.

APU goaltender James Crawford made four saves in the winning effort.

APU will play on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. against the No. 8 Fresno Pacific (Calif.) / No. 9 Rio Grande (Ohio) winner. MidAmerica Nazarene, the host school of the Championship, finishes its season at 11-7 overall.
