ACADEMIC YEAR:                         Spring 2006

 

CHAMPIONSHIP DATE(s):                        HAAC Conference Champion will be determined by tournament competition against all conference opponents.

                                                                        April 29, 2006 - Region V Tournament

                                                                        Coaches meeting – April 28, 2006 – on site – 8:00 PM

Regional deadline - May 6, 2006

 

COACHES SEEDING MEETING: April 28, 2006 – 8:00 PM – TBA

CHAMPIONSHIP SITE(s):                          St. Louis, Columbia, KC

 

TIME(s):                                                        8:00 AM

 

ENTRY FEE:                                     $100 and a case of tennis balls

 

AWARDS:                                                     Region V Team Championship Award

                                                                        COACH-of-the-YEAR

                                                                        Male Tournament Player of the Year

                                                                        Female Tournament Player of the Year

 

REGIONAL CHAMPION:                          The winner will advance to the NAIA national tournament.

 

REGIONAL PLAYOFF FORMAT:             The HAAC Champion and runner-up and the AMC Champion and runner-up will qualify for the Region V tournament.       #1 HAAC vs #2 AMC

                                                                                                #2 HAAC vs #1 AMC

                                                                                                Winners play for championship

Procedures:  Single elimination

                    All matches stop at 5

 

SEEDING MEETING PROCEDURE:        All line-ups will be presented at the coaches’ meeting                                                                            and MUST be approved for tournament competition.                                                                            Teams have to use the same line-up in the Region V                                                                              Tournament that was used in the conference tournament                                                                                    with exceptions for injury, illness, or eligibility.

 

OFFICALS:                                                    2 officials will be hired for the tournament
