KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Malone College (Ohio) earned the top spot in the season's first NAIA men's cross country ratings. The Pioneers earned four of the seven first place votes and 206 points to edge Aquinas (Mich.) by one point for the top spot. The Saints received the other three first place votes and earned 205 points.
Concordia (Calif.) moved up seven spots from the preseason poll to No. 3 with 198 points. Azusa Pacific (Calif.) and Black Hills State (S.D.) each moved up a spot to No. 4 and No. 5 with 188 and 177 points respectively.
The second regular season Top 25 Poll will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
