KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Malone (Ohio) stays No. 1 in the final NAIA Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.  The Pioneers have gone wire-to-wire as the top team, being ranked No. 1 in every poll for the second straight year.

 

Malone earned all 21 first place votes and 591 total points.

 

No. 2 Azusa Pacific (Calif.), No. 3 Aquinas (Mich.) and No. 4 Southern Oregon each moved up a spot from last week with 563, 555 and 528 points respectively.  Indiana Tech dropped three places to No. 5 with 523 points.

 

The next three spots remained the same.  Embry-Riddle (Fla.) (493 points), Concordia (Neb.) (473 points) and Huntington (Ind.) (463 points) held their positions at No. 6, No. 7 and No. 8 respectively.  No. 9 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) and No. 10 California State-San Marcos switched spots from last week to round the top-10.  Olivet Nazarene received 419 points and California State-San Marcos earned 402 points.

 

The 2008 NAIA National Championship teams and individual qualifiers will be released on Monday, Nov. 10 by 5 p.m. (CST).  The championship race (8K) will be held at Dr. Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Nov. 22 at 11:45 a.m. (CST).
