KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Natalie Young of Bethel (Ind.) has been selected as the NAIA Women's Basketball Division II Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008.
Young, a senior guard from Berne, Ind., averaged 26.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in two wins for the Lady Pilots last week. She shot 56 percent from the floor and perfect (4-for-4) from the free-throw line. Young scored 29 points and cleared 10 rebounds in the win against No. 3 St. Francis (Ind.) and added 23 points and eight rebounds against Grace College.
