KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Debbie Remmerde of Northwestern (Iowa) has been selected as the NAIA Women's Basketball Division II Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008.
Remmerde, a senior guard from Rock Valley, Iowa, averaged 31.0 points and 5.7 rebounds in three wins for the Red Raiders last week. She shot 72 percent (36-for-50) from the floor, 63 percent (10-for-16) from the three-point range and 92 percent (11-for-12) from the free-throw line. Remmerde leads the nation in scoring (29.1 ppg), three-point percentage (.510) and free-throw percentage (.970).
