OLATHE, Kan. - Brittany Smart has been named NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week after becoming the all-time leading scorer in NAIA Division II Women's history in Cedarville's 88-74 win over Shawnee State.
Smart knocked in 41 against Shawnee State, pushing her two-game average to 32.0 points per game, and she dished out five assists in both games to total 10 in the two-game stretch. Smart also had seven rebounds in her record-breaking performance.
She finished the week 25-of-40 from the floor including 16-of-28 against Shawnee, a game in which she finished 5-of-8 from behind the 3-point arc to end 8-of-11 from 3-point land. Smart also attempted seven foul shots, converting on six to finish at 86 percent from the line.
