The Division II championship is a 32-team, single-elimination tournament featuring 23 teams from 16 affiliated conferences, 1 independent (provided the team is ranked in the top 25 of the final national rating), 7 at-large berths and one host. If a host berth is not awarded, then 8-9 at-large berths will be allotted (depending on the independent qualifier).
GAME TIMES:
*First-Round on Wednesday, March 8 and Thursday, March 9, with eight games at 8:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m., noon, 2:15 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 5:45 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:45 p.m. (Note: Last two games on Thursday are at 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.) *Second-Round onFriday, March 10, with eight games at 8:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m., noon, 2:15 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 5:45 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9:15 p.m. *Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 11, with four games at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m.
*Semifinals onMonday, March 13, with games at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. *Championship on Tuesday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. - Televised live nation-wide on CSTV.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
*Special Olympics Clinic - Tuesday, March 7, 9-10:30 a.m. and 10:30 -noon - Tyson Events Center. Sponsored by the Diocese of Sioux City.
*Banquet of Champions
- Tuesday March 7, 6:30 p.m. - Sioux City Convention Center. Tickets $25 per person.
