KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Chanel Ross of Harris-Stowe (Mo.) has been selected as the NAIA Women's Basketball Division I Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008.
Ross, a senior guard for Philadelphia, Pa., averaged 27.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 7.5 steals in two road wins for the Hornets. She shot 51 percent from the floor and 72 percent from the free-throw line. Ross recorded a triple-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists against University of Illinois at Springfield and added 30 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and nine steals against Columbia College (Mo.).
