OLATHE, Kan. - Emmerentia Ledwaba of Mobile (Ala.) is this week's NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 17.7 points and 11.3 rebounds in three games last week.
Ledwaba also averaged 2.7 steals and 2.7 assists in the three-game stretch, carding double-doubles in all three games including 12 rebounds in the opener to the week against Tougaloo (Miss.). Ledwaba had her best point outpouring of the week a game later, scoring 23 in a win over Loyola (La.), a game in which she hit 9-of-11 form the field and made her only 3-point attempt of the week. Ledwaba finished 20-of-40 from the floor (50 percent) and 12-of-15 at the foul line (80 percent), including a 5-for-5 outing at LSU-Shreveport.
Ledwaba also finished the week with one blocked shot.
