OLATHE, Kan. - Monique Martin, a senior guard from Brewton-Parker (Ga.), has earned her second NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor after averaging 32 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, including a 37-point, 13-rebound game against Columbia College (S.C.).
Martin finished the week 26-of-60 from the floor and 9-of-14 from the foul line, including a 3-of-9 mark from beyond the 3-point arc. Martin started the week in a 67-58 win over Flagler College with 27 points and eight rebounds in a game in which she also dished out four assist, recorded one block and also grabbed four steals.
In the 102-66 win over Columbia, Martin added to the double-double with five assists, two blocks and six steals. She finished the week with nine assists, three blocks and 10 steals. Martin was also named NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Jan. 4.
