OLATHE, Kan. - Freed-Hardman (Tenn.) freshman forward Jana Cross is the NAIA's Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 25.5 points and nine rebounds per game while shooting 74 percent on 20-of-27 from the floor.
Cross helped FHU to a pair of wins, scoring 17 and grabbing 12 rebounds in a 104-36 win over Mid-Continent (Ky.) and scoring another 34 against Lambuth (Tenn.). She finished the week with six assists, including four against Lambuth, a game in which she also hit 14-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-7 at the foul line in the 92-89 FHU win.
Cross finished 11-of-15 on free throws (73 percent), while ending the week with four steals, recording two in each game.
