OLATHE, Kan. - Amy Brooks, a senior post player for Carroll (Mont.), has been named NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week after scoring 22.5 points and grabbing 9.0 rebounds per game in a pair of wins on the road last week.
Brooks opened the week with 28 points and eight rebounds, hitting 8-of-12 from the floor in a 64-55 win over Montana State-Northern, and later in the week, she recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards in a 79-41 win at Great Falls (Mont.).
Brooks finished the week with three assists and three steals, going 12-of-22 from the field and 21-of-25 from the foul line, including 12-of-14 against MSU-Northern. Brooks was an 84-percent free-throw shooter.
