Division I Women's Basketball Rating No. 8

Despite a Top 10 shuffle, Vanguard (Calif.) has a firm hold on the NAIA Division I Women's Top 25.

Feb. 7, 2007

OLATHE, Kan. - Despite a Top 10 shuffle in the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Top 25, Vanguard (Calif.) continued to grab all 11 first-place votes on the way to its eighth-straight week atop the poll.

Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) and Saint Xavier (Ill.) held on to their spots to follow Vanguard, while Lee (Tenn.) and Montana-Western each moved up one spot to fill out the top five. Union (Tenn.) also moved up one to begin the second half to the Top 10, while Lubbock Christian (Texas) fell three spaces into the No. 7 position this week. Cumberlands (Ky.) maintained ground to stay No. 8, as did Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) at No. 9, while Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) entered the Top 10 this week, replacing now No. 11 Cumberland (Tenn.).

This week's only newcomer to the poll checks in at No. 25, as Lambuth (Tenn.) rejoins the Top 25 in its eighth week of the 2006-07 season. Georgetown (Ky.) fell out of the Top 20, going from No. 17 to No. 21, while Oklahoma City moved up a spot to replace Georgetown at No. 20.
