OLATHE, Kan. - Meghan Fuqua, a senior forward for Lambuth (Tenn.), has been named NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week after helping Lambuth to a pair of wins, including a seven-point victory over No. 11 Cumberland University.
Fuqua averaged 33.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in two contests last week, also compiling eight steals, seven of which were against Cumberland, a game in which she also pulled down nine rebounds and finished 3-of-7 from the 3-point arc.
On the week, Fuqua was 6-of-13 from 3-point land, part of her 20-of-35 from the floor, and at the foul line she finished the week 20-of-27, knocking down ten foul shots in each of Lambuth's two wins. She finished both games with 33 points, establishing a career-high against Cumberland and equaling it against Blue Mountain.
