OLATHE, Kan. - Lambuth (Tenn.) earned its second-straight player of the week in NAIA Division I Women's Basketball, as senior guard Reggie Maddox averaged 27.0 points per game and dished out 21 assists in three wins last week.
Maddox opened the 3-0 stretch with 31 points and seven assists on a 10-of-15 shooting night as Lambuth downed Martin Methodist 76-74, and the double-digits continued a game later, as Lambuth beat Bethel (Tenn.) 95-88 behind 25 points and nine assists for Maddox.
She closed the week with 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a win over No. 8 Trevecca Nazarene, finishing the week 24-of-39 from the floor and 9-of-16 from behind the 3-point arc. She was also 24-of-26 from the foul line, hitting eight foul shots in each game including 8-of-8 against TNU. In the game one win over Martin Methodist, Maddox nailed the buzzer-beating shot that pushed Lambuth past MMC in the two-point victory.
She also had three steals during the week, all of which came against Bethel.
