KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Union (Tenn.) Lady Bulldogs are unanimous No. 1 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division I Women's Basketball Top-25 final poll. Union earned all 11 first place votes for 330 total points.
The top 10 spots are unchanged from last week. Lee (Tenn.) remained in the second position with 318 total points for the ninth consecutive week. Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) and Vanguard (Calif.) stayed at No. 3 and 4 respectively for the sixth straight week with 308 and 291 total points. Oklahoma City maintained its No. 5 ranking with 284 total points to round the top-five.
The conference tournament will wrap up on Tuesday, March 11th and the 28th annual NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Tournament will be held on March 19-25, 2008 at Oman Arena in Jackson, Tenn. The tournament qualifiers will be announced on Tuesday, March 11.
