(ST. LOUIS, Mo., Oct. 1)--Former Harris-Stowe State University women's basketball star Chanel Ross has taken her talents overseas. The 5-foot 6-inch NAIA All-American point guard from 2007-08 now starts for the ProBuild Lions in Amsterdam, members of the Dutch League.

Ross signed with the Probuild Lions on September 13, and has made an immediate impact in the preseason by contributing to her teams' 5-0 exhibition record. The Lions recently won a preseason tournament, which included a win over last season's league champions, HLB Accountants. Ross scored nine points in the championship game.

Ross and the Lions will start their regular season September 27, against Celeritas-Donar. The ProBuild Lion's regular season goes until April 14, 2009, and, the playoffs start the following week.
