KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Union (Tenn.) is ranked No. 1 in the first regular season NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Preseason Poll.  The Lady Bulldogs received all 10 first place votes and 250 total points.

Vanguard (Calif.) held its spot at No. 2 from the preseason poll with 241 total points while Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) moved up to No. 3 with 234 total points.  The next five teams also moved up from the preseason poll.  Azusa Pacific (Calif.) climbed two spots to No. 4 with 225 points and Oklahoma City jumped up seven spots to No. 5 with 219 points.  No. 6 Lambuth (Tenn.) (205 points), No. 7 Oklahoma Baptist (201 points) and No. 8 Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) (191 points) all moved up three spots.  Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) dropped to No. 9 from No. 3 while No. 10 Saint Xavier (Ill.) moved into top-10 from No. 13.

The second regular season poll will be released on Monday, December 8.
