LUBBOCK, Texas -

All eight teams in the field posted better score on day two, but no one was able to overcome No. 1 Oklahoma City, who went 329-305 to post a 634, win the Region VI title and earn an automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament, which begins on May 15th in San Marcos, Calif.
The Stars were impressive on the day and finished 21 shots better than second place #4 Southern Nazarene University, who went 344-311 for a 655.
OCU was led by Tamara Campbell, who entered the day with a 2 shot lead on the field after a day one 79. Though she did not post the best round of the day (that honor went to Southern Naz.'s Tyler Thompson and her 72), Campbell was able to hold off late charges from Lubbock Christian's Leah Dansby and Northwood's Andrea Lowe to win the individual title by one stroke with a 79-77, 156.
Dansby and Lowe finished tied for second at 157, and the rest of the Top 5 included OCU Stars Sydney Cox (83-76, 159) and Christina Cung (82-77, 159).
As a team, the No. 14 Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps finished a program best third, going 346-325 for a 671 and were 8 shots better than fourth place No. 21 Northwood (353-326, 679) and 21 shots better than No. 17 Oklahoma Baptist (365-327, 692).

Aside from Oklahoma City, the teams will now wait to see if they receive at large bids to the NAIA National Tournament. The field is expected to formally be announced the first week in May as schools still have a couple of weeks to complete their regional tournaments.
